U3A IN EAST SUFFOLK

We welcome new members and visitors to our meetings

U3A is a cooperative of people offering educational, recreational and social activities for those with time during the day. There are currently more than 600 U3As in the UK with over 200,000 individual members.

The U3A in East Suffolk has more than 50 small groups which meet regularly, usually in members' homes, to pursue a range of special interests including Reading, Poetry, Science, Family History, French, German, International and Current Affairs, Canasta, Music Appreciation, Painting, Art History and many more.

Other groups more often venture out and these include the Church Crawlers, Garden Visits, Walking, Architecture and Lunch Clubs.

A monthly programme of talks on a wide range of subjects also takes place in Kesgrave, Saxmundham and Felixstowe open to all members. These meetings are very sociable with concluding tea and biscuit time giving members the chance to establish new interest groups and make new friends.

There are no entry qualifications and no exams.

£10 annually secures full membership to all activities.

Any new person wishing to join after 1 March will have extended membership until 31 August of the following year
